We are currently looking to bring Casual Bus Drivers into our existing and emerging team of exceptionally dedicated Charter Driver’s at our Monbulk Depot. Be a part of our growing Charter team where you provide a service for our private schools. The vacant charter postion at Monbulk consists of working  20 hours per week – this role is split shifts (2 hours AM & PM), Monday to Friday.

What you need:

• Full Victorian Car licence or higher (If you don’t have an MR Licence, that’s not an issue – we provide training for all successful applicants**)
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills 
• Customer focused individuals with the desire to provide assistance when required
• A high regard for safety, road rules and regulations
• Ability to obtain relevant medical and background clearances including Drivers Accreditation (DC) and Working With Children’s Card (WWCC)

This position involves:

• Safely operate coaches for charter, tour, school or corporate trips in accordance with road rules and company policies.
• Conduct pre-departure safety checks and promptly reporting any issues.
• Follow scheduled routes or custom itineraries, maintaining timeframes and adjusting plans as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, luggage handling and enquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the coach interior throughout the day.
• Liaise with charter department regarding route details, schedules, changes and passenger requirements.
• Stay updated on road conditions, weather and relevant regulations.

We Are We Looking For Applicants With…
If you have:

• At least 6 months of bus driving experience or more
• A MR Licence or higher, must be willing to obtain a HR Licence
• Willingness and available to work on a full time basis, including:
  • Overnight trips
  • Weekends and varied schedules as needed
• A strong focus on safety, customer service and punctuality
• Excellent driving record and knowledge of road regulations

About Our School Bus Drivers

Due to the expansion of our business, we are currently looking to bring new Bus Drivers into our existing team of exceptionally dedicated School Bus & Charter Drivers. 

The advantage of being a casual driver is the ability to choose between morning (2 hours), afternoon (2 hours), or both shifts. You’ll have the consistency of regular, stable hours, Monday to Friday, whether you’re looking for 10 or 20 hours per week. Having school holidays off will give you the balance to enjoy your time or to focus on the other important aspects of your life!.

Our School Bus & Charter Drivers are responsible for ensuring the safety of our passengers through skilful driving to the ability build positive relationships with students, parents and teachers alike. Our School Bus Drivers are friendly, approachable and committed to providing a safe and professional service. They are patient and understanding and most importantly, they really care!

Opportunities exist at out Ivanhoe Depot and are available for an immediate start

We have the following roles available to fulfill our school runs:

• 20 hours per week – this role is split shifts (2 hours AM & PM), Monday to Friday
• 10 hours per week AM – this role is 2 hours in the morning, Monday to Friday
• 10 hours per week PM – this role is 2 hours in the afternoon, Monday to Friday

• Full car licence
