If I book a Ventura bus for a school excursion, will it stay for the duration so students can keep their belongings on the bus?
Yes, for longer trips, such as those to the city, the bus will stay with your group for the duration of the excursion. For shorter, local trips, to help keep costs affordable, our drivers can drop you off and return for pickup at a scheduled time. However, if you prefer the bus to always remain with your group, we can accommodate this and provide a customised quote.
How many students can fit on one bus if there are three per seat?
If students sit three to a seat, our buses can accommodate up to 62 passengers with seat belts. Please inform us at the time of booking if you require this seating arrangement. For comfort and safety, we recommend that three-to-a-seat seating be used for children aged 10 and under.
What are the smallest and largest sizes of bus in the Ventura fleet?
Our fleet offers a variety of bus sizes, with our largest accommodating 57 passengers. The most suitable bus will be assigned based on availability. To provide flexibility, all our buses are priced at the same rate. If your venue requires a smaller vehicle due to access limitations, please inform us at the time of booking.
What are the luggage capacities of Ventura buses- will they fit golf bags, tents, musical equipment, etc?
Our charter coaches have undercarriage compartments that can accommodate large items such as golf bags, tents, and musical equipment. If your group requires additional storage space, please inform us in advance so we can provide a bus that meets your needs. There is also a small amount of overhead storage available for handheld items.
How far in advance should we book a bus charter?
It’s best to book at least 4-6 weeks in advance, especially for peak times during the school term. Last-minute bookings may have limited availability.
Safety & Compliance
Are your buses equipped with seat belts?
Yes, all our charter buses are equipped with seat belts for added safety. Car seats may be fitted to some buses with anchor points. Please let us know at the time of booking if you will be travelling with a car seat, so that we can allocate a suitable bus. Please note, that car seats must be fitted by the customer.
Are your drivers licensed and trained for school trips?
Absolutely! All our drivers are professionally licensed, undergo background checks, and carry a WWCC (Working with Childrens Check)
Do you conduct vehicle safety checks before trips?
Yes, our buses go through regular maintenance and pre-trip safety inspections to ensure a smooth and secure journey.
Trip Planning & Amenities:
Can we make multiple stops during our trip?
Yes, you can plan multiple stops. Please provide details such as address and times in advance so we can arrange the best route for efficiency and safety.
Do your buses have toilets on board?
We do have several buses with toilet facilities on board. Please let us know at the time of booking if you require a bus with a toilet. While all efforts will be made to accommodate this request, due to availability this may not always be an option. Your Charter assistant will be able to let you know. We can accommodate additional toilet stops along your route if you require.
Can students bring food and drinks on the bus?
Yes, but we ask that you avoid messy or sticky foods and ensure that students clean up after themselves.
